Cuban President Closely Following Case of Kidnapped Cuban Doctors
Havana, June 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, tweeted on Saturday that he spoke with his counterparts in Kenya and Somalia about the case of the two Cuban doctors kidnapped in Africa.
I held phone conversations with the Presidents of Kenya and Somalia, Uhuru Kenyatta and Abdullahi Mohamed, respectively, as part of the ongoing monitoring we do of the actions to secure the return of our kidnapped doctors Landy Rodriguez and Assel Herrera, he wrote in his account @DiazCanelB.
In other occasions, Diaz-Canel has expressed in Twitter that the State unstoppable works for the return of the aforementioned internationalists.
He strives tirelessly for the safe return of Assel and Landy, our kidnapped doctors, the Head of State highlighted.
'With them and their loved ones we share the certainty that their humanitarian mission will be respected and recognized. We believe in the power of solidarity, 'said Diaz-Canel in another message.
The Ministry of Public Health reported the kidnapping of two health workers who provide their services in the county of Mandera, in Kenya.
